A beautiful, one-of-a-kind silver fox skull from a small adult. A silver fox is the silver colour mutation of the red fox (Vulpes vulpes).

This is an unusual pathological specimen. The upper canine teeth never formed, and the bone has naturally closed over the areas where the canine sockets would normally be. This makes it a particularly interesting piece for collectors of natural history and osteological specimens.

The skull is in beautiful condition and has been carefully cleaned through maceration, then whitened using hydrogen peroxide. It has not been bleached or boiled.

This male silver (black) fox was born in the UK and was not farmed. He passed naturally following an illness.
